Help a Neighbor Get the Home Support They Deserve
Every month, HouzTask selects one household from our Neighbor Help nominations to receive up to $1,000 in home services — small repairs, safety fixes, organizing, cleaning, or a room refresh.
You can nominate someone you care about — or even yourself. Every story matters, and each month we choose one neighbor whose life could be made a little easier at home.
Support is provided as in-kind home services (labor and/or materials), not cash. Typical projects range from $300 to $1,000 depending on needs and local availability.

How Neighbor Help works
We keep Neighbor Help simple and focused on impact. Each month, we choose a neighbor whose situation could be improved with a little help at home.
1. You nominate
Share who needs help, their situation, and the type of support that would make a difference. Self-nominations are welcome.
2. Monthly selection
Each month, our team reviews all nominations and selects one household. We prioritize safety issues, families under stress, and situations where up to $1,000 can create meaningful relief.
3. We provide the support
If selected, we coordinate up to $1,000 in home services using trusted local pros — and support the homeowner every step of the way.
Selection & fairness
To keep the program fair, selections are made from all eligible monthly nominations. Some nominations may be carried into future months if the need remains, but selection is not guaranteed. Please submit only once — multiple nominations for the same person won't increase their chances.

Who Neighbor Help supports
Neighbor Help focuses on projects that make daily life safer, calmer, or more manageable. From urgent fixes to emotional resets, we want homes to feel a little lighter to live in.
A safer bathroom after surgery
We added grab bars, tightened fixtures, and ensured a fall-safe bathroom for a parent recovering at home so they could move with more confidence.
A refreshed kids' room after a tough year
After a family went through job changes and a move, we helped refresh their child's room — repairing lighting, repainting walls, and creating a comforting space for sleep and homework.
A clean, functional home for a tired caregiver
We funded a deep clean, decluttering, and basic repairs so a full-time caregiver could focus on health and daily care instead of house stress.
